About The Firm
Sandra Morgan Interiors Inc.
is a well-known full-service residential design firm in Greenwich,
Connecticut specializing in luxurious interiors. We are modern
traditionalists, blending the simple and the grand with a fresh,
creative approach. The firm, established in 1988, has developed a loyal
following of clients, custom workrooms, contractors, and suppliers.
This year we are celebrating
our 20th anniversary with the recent launching of SM Home, our retail
showroom featuring Swedish antiques, quality reproductions, fabulous
accessories and contemporary paintings. The shop is an in-depth resource
for Swedish style, but the firm’s projects are not limited to one look.
SM Home is located in the same charming building as our design offices
at 70 Arch Street, Exit 3 off I~95.
Our current projects include
a Greenwich stone manor house, a traditional colonial home with a modern
twist in Riverside, a total renovation of a New York City townhouse,
and two vacation homes in Vero Beach, Florida. Our staff includes
Sandra, Barbara Higgins Epifanio (Sr. designer formerly with Mark Hampton,
Inc.), our office manager, bookkeeper, and two assistants. We handle
large or small projects with equal finesse and are well equipped to
provide excellent personal service and timely results.
The firm's European workrooms
provide fine custom upholstered furniture, hand sewn curtains and soft
furnishings. Our trades-people are talented, courteous, and perform work
of the highest quality. We pride ourselves on attention to detail from
the ground up and have the experience and expertise to work effectively
with architects, building contractors, craftsmen and all trades
essential to a successful project. Our firm is committed to providing
sustainable design and makes every effort to specify and purchase
responsibly for a greener environment.
Sandra Morgan’s vast
knowledge of art and antiques enables her to offer her clients an
educated eye when making investments in these areas.
SERVICES AND FEE STRUCTURE
Our
Letter of Agreement provides information explaining methods of payment, standard
procedures, and compensation. My initial consultation with a potential client is
a relaxed meeting to acquaint ourselves with each other, learn a client’s needs
and expectations, as well as review our business methods. There is no charge for
the initial consultation held in our design studio or a follow up visit to the
client’s home. Once the client has decided to enlist our services, we submit our
Letter of Agreement for their signature and approval.
At this point we require a non-refundable design fee based on the scope of the
project. We invoice on a cost-plus percentage basis and charge hourly fees for
research and design, client meetings and presentations as well as administrative
and bookkeeping services. Hourly fees are then credited against the initial
design fee. The administrative fees are billed at a rate less than the fee for
research and design. All costs are made known to the client in advance and
orders are placed only after estimates have been approved and deposits received.

contractors, etc.

Supervision of deliveries and installations

Preparation of furniture floor plans to scale and presentation of design
plans.

Project management
Although we prefer larger projects, we accept smaller ones when time permits,
depending on the client’s location and our current project status. It is
important for us to be able to focus our attention on individual clients in a
timely manner.
