Sandra Morgan’s royal delight used the young cultured King Gustav III as a muse, and displayed her inspirations from Swedish style. Merging her design into the 21 century, Morgan not only reflected the bespoke taste of the young King, but she integrated familiar elements such as modern art, a laptop, and graphic horizontal striped walls. While each designer’s portfolio touts a keen sense of style and proportion, their ability to delve into their own, personal design process renders their capabilities endless. Unlike any client’s project, all of the designers were faced with the same obstacle, complete control. After being handed the same blank page, this year’s Rooms with a View acknowledges that each one of these designers truly has a beautiful mind.
