Sandra
Morgan Interiors Inc. is a well-known full-service residential
interior design firm in Greenwich, Connecticut specializing in
classic, timeless interiors. We are modern traditionalists, blending
the simple and the grand with a fresh, creative approach. The firm,
established in 1988, has developed a loyal following of clients,
custom workrooms, contractors, and suppliers.
SM HOME, our award winning retail shop launched in 2007 features
Swedish antiques, quality reproductions, unique accessories,
lighting, rugs and fine art. Sandra Morgan's vast knowledge of art
and antiques enables her to offer her clients an educated eye when
making investments in these areas. The shop is an in-depth resource
for Swedish style, but the firm's projects cover a range of styles
from traditional to modern,
tailored to each individual client. SM HOME is located in the same
charming building as our design offices at 70 Arch Street, just off
Exit 3 on I~95, in downtown Greenwich.
Our recent projects include two Georgian style renovations in
Greenwich and Westchester, a colonial home with a modern twist in
Riverside, a total reconstruction of a New York City townhouse, and
two vacation homes in Vero Beach, Florida. In addition to Sandra,
our designers include, Madeleine Stuart Hamilton, and Laird Morgan Tolan. We
all approach large or small projects
with equal enthusiasm and finesse and are well equipped to provide
excellent personal service and timely results.
The firm's European workrooms provide fine custom upholstered
furniture, hand sewn curtains and soft furnishings. Our
trades-people are talented, courteous, and perform work of the
highest quality. We pride ourselves on attention to detail from the
ground up and have the experience and expertise to work effectively
with architects, building contractors, painters, craftsmen and all
trades essential to a successful project. Our firm is committed to
providing sustainable design and makes every effort to specify and
purchase responsibly for a greener environment.
SERVICES AND
FEE STRUCTURE
Our
Letter of Agreement provides information explaining methods of payment, standard
procedures, and compensation. An initial consultation with a potential client is
a relaxed meeting to acquaint ourselves with one other, learn a client's needs
and expectations, as well as review our business methods. Once the client has decided to enlist our services, we submit our
Letter of Agreement for their signature and approval.
At this point we require a retainer/design fee based on the scope of the
project. We invoice on a cost-plus percentage basis and charge hourly fees for
research and design, client meetings and administrative services. The
administrative services are billed at a rate less than the fee for research and
design. All costs are made known to the client in advance and orders are placed
only after estimates have been approved and deposits received.
Services Include:
• Extensive consultation with clients regarding budget, design requirements and
preferences
• Supervision of trades-people, consultation with client's architect,
contractors, etc.

• Administrative support
• Supervision of deliveries and installations
• Preparation of furniture floor plans to scale and presentation of design
plans.
