Sandra Morgan Interiors
was invited to participate in this popular event. Sandra Morgan was
one of 12 interior designers who created imaginative vignettes
for last year's theme ''Muse and Inspiration.'' Each designer was
given a raw space 8 feet by 10 feet.

Familiar elements such as modern art and a laptop are
merged with royal bespoke tastes

Sandra
Morgan Interiors
''I like to create a fresh approach to classic design.
Combining antiques with contemporary art and accessories
brings energy to a room.'' Incorporating Swedish
antiques-the Gustavian period in particular-into modern
elements facilitates a seamless blend. Lightly painted
surfaces lend a purity that is both elegant and
informal.

Sandra
Morgan's royal delight used the young cultured King Gustav III as a
muse, and displayed her inspirations from Swedish style. Merging her
design into the 21 century, Morgan not only reflected the bespoke
taste of the young King, but she integrated familiar elements such
as modern art, a laptop, and graphic horizontal striped walls. While
each designer's portfolio touts a keen sense of style and
proportion, their ability to delve into their own, personal design
process renders their capabilities endless. Unlike any client's
project, all of the designers were faced with the same obstacle,
complete control. After being handed the same blank page, this
year's Rooms with a View acknowledges that each one of these
designers truly has a beautiful mind. |
